How it begins
Scheria, the City on the Comets, is upon the asteroid-ring that criss-cross the sky above the clouds.
Above her the sky is ever in various shades of red; intense crimsons, scarlets, violent vermillions backdrop against the white halo of a reddening, dimming sun.
The power of the Crown makes the heavens above Scheria blue, a shield against the Sun Devils cast by the Aleph, the Red Sun.
To defend her against the Sun Devils, Scheria constructs the Regalia, piloted by the Oratores!
These warriors of the comets are chosen by the Garden of Flowers for their selfless desires and purity of soul, at any age, and are taught in the sapphire halls of Moon Dome Agora.
They're taught besides Princess Nicomedes, daughter of the Quasar Polemarch, future ruler of Scheria and wielder of the Crown!
Yesterday, the Shogun Requiem, his own sister, has launched a coup against the Quasar Polemarch, and imprisoned him in a Jade Box in suspended animation.
Today, the Ocean Society's special forces enter the Moon Dome Agora, capturing Princess Nicomedes...
And all of her friends are classified as potential sources of sedition.
By fate, you are now Rebels against the Authority.
The Game
The game is run using Armor Astir Advent. It's the first time I run something Powered by the Apocalypse. I'm not a huge fan, but will write on it later.
This is a game where you're supposed to play a member of the Agora who was friends with the Princess and each other. In this sense, a player's character should have a Hook regarding the princess. The setting is purposefully half-baked we the players can collaborate on building it.
The First
As of now, we've barely finished our first Sortie, which was all about retaking our Regalia and flying them to the carrier.
The group I'm gunning with is a collection of my Ol' Reliables: D...a, L...r and L...c (pseudonyms). However, midway through, L...r withdrew from society, so I recruited O...i to join us, who surprisingly agreed despite being somewhat difficult to engage with. At the end of the First Sortie, O...i said they'd withdraw. So I'm left with D...a and L...c; L...c is a busy fella' generally and D...a has what it takes to be the central piece but if we wanted that we'd be playing on our own, which we do frequently I suppose.
So, it looks like Last Days of the Red Sun might be seeing it's Last Days, heh. L said they'd be returning to society sometime soon so I hope they join the game again, if not, I'll just have to give it up, and see if I run it for another group. Honestly, I like what we've cooked here thus far, and I'd like to run it again. I'm just wondering if I'll use AAA for it, but my misgivings with it will await.
